One of the two companies is doing a better job in the field of commercial vehicles in the automotive industry. One is better in the construction machinery and agricultural machinery sector. In the external competition, the Revo brand belongs to mid-to-high-end brands. There are not many competitors in the industry, and there may be only two or three sub-sectors. Deputy General Manager Zhao: At the Euro III level, Perkins' model is in line with our model's technical line. In Europe IV, there are SCR, DPF and DOC on the technical route, but the non-road engine Euro IV standard has not yet been implemented. It is expected that in the future Euro V level, the global technology line will be unified.

Reporter: We know that the development of Revo in the construction machinery market is also very strong. Many engine manufacturers and component companies are very concerned about this market. How do you see the related companies in the automotive industry entering the construction machinery market?

Deputy General Manager Zhao: Construction machinery has developed rapidly in recent years. There are three types of high-, medium-, and low-end markets for construction machinery on the engine.

Most high-end construction machinery products, such as engines in excavators, are mostly imported. The domestic models have a low share in this market. The main reason is that the reliability and stability of the models are compared with foreign engines. There is still a gap. The application characteristics of construction machinery engines are different from those of vehicles. Most of the domestic engine companies do not study this area in depth.

The mid-range construction machinery products such as loaders, bulldozers, and other large domestic engine plants have certain advantages. Typical enterprises are Weichai and Yuchai. Weichai's WD615 had a lot of cars in the past, and now it has a lot of supporting construction machinery. In addition to construction machinery, Yuchai switched to a lot of agricultural equipment, such as supporting large-scale harvesters and tractors. The previous production capacity of Revo Power is mainly to ensure the internal allocation. Now that the new plant is completed, it will intensify its efforts to cooperate with the outside world. Many domestic construction machinery and agricultural machinery companies are very interested in our products.

Reporter: Parts manufacturers and OEMs want to know what the future development pattern of construction machinery is. How much market demand will there be?

Zhao Deputy General Manager: The total amount of construction machinery will certainly rise, but different market segments have different needs. I think there will be more demand for new models. For example, new types of machines such as backhoe loaders and aerial platforms will come. However, these new models have higher requirements for product performance and reliability, and nowadays they are usually imported machines.

There is a certain degree of difficulty in the advancement of construction machinery for automotive engine manufacturers or component companies that do not have a good foundation. First of all, the working conditions of construction machinery are rather harsh, and the requirements on the reliability and durability of the engine are higher. In addition, construction machinery has its own market characteristics - small quantities, many varieties. For automotive engine manufacturers, engine requirements for different power segments and construction machinery are more individualized and market segmentation requirements are higher.
