New Low Temperature Catalysis to Realize Methanol Hydrogen Production
German and Italian researchers announced on February 28 that they have developed an effective low-temperature catalytic process that can produce hydrogen from methanol. Hydrogen generation using this method can be carried out at 65 °C ~ 95 °C under normal pressure, and the number of reused catalysts exceeds 350,000. This makes methanol a practical hydrogen carrier and is expected to obtain hydrogen on mobile devices. The research results have been published in the journal Nature.
