On December 1st, with the opening of the Dalian High Speed ​​Railway in Harbin, it has become easy to travel across the four cities on a high-speed rail day. On December 26, the Beijing-Guangzhou high-speed railway will soon be fully connected, and Beijing and Guangzhou will only take 8 hours. Up to now, the number of high-speed railways that have been put into operation in China has reached 7,735 kilometers, and a large number of high-speed railways are under construction. The operating mileage and scale of construction are ranked first in the world.

With the opening and operation of high-speed railways in various parts of China, more and more civil aviation feeder routes have been forced to be grounded. According to statistics from industry experts, after the formation of the “four vertical and four horizontal” high-speed rail network in 2012, it will cover 58% of China’s civil aviation market. The Civil Aviation Administration pointed out that the impact of high-speed rail on civil aviation within 500 kilometers will be more than 50%, and the impact of high-speed rail from 500 kilometers to 800 kilometers on civil aviation will reach more than 30%, and the impact of high-speed rail on civil aviation will be about 20% within 1,000 kilometers.

Li Jiaxiang, director of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, said that the high-speed rail has both impact and help on the civil aviation industry, and the high-speed rail has eased the pressure of civil aviation on the needs of the community. The demand for civil aviation is strong and the pressure is high. Especially in big cities like Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, it is very difficult to increase one flight. The development of high-speed rail can ease the pressure on civil aviation.
