ABB receives $12 million in diesel-electric system orders

It is reported that ABB, a power and automation technology group, has recently received orders worth $12 million to provide power and propulsion systems for a deepwater pipelaying vessel.
The deepwater pipelaying vessel, tentatively named Derrick Lay Vessel 2000 (DLV2000), will be built by Keppel Singmarine in Singapore and is expected to be delivered to Hydro Marine Services, Inc. of McDermott International Inc. in 2015.
