How to use an electronic precision balance

Electronic precision balance is a comprehensive product of sensor technology, analog electronic technology, digital electronic technology and microprocessor technology development, with automatic calibration, automatic display, overload protection and other functions.

I. Precautions for electronic precision balances 1. Precision balances should be placed on solid and stable cement tables or wooden tables. The interiors should be clean, dry, and have a relatively constant temperature. At the same time, light should be avoided from reaching the balance.

2. The material should be taken from the side door when weighing, and the door should be closed when reading to prevent the air flow from causing the balance to oscillate. The front door is only used when overhauling or removing residual substances.

3. If the electronic precision balance is not used for a long time, it should be periodically energized and warmed up once a week for 2 hours each time to ensure that the instrument is always in good use.

4. The moisture absorption agent (such as silica gel) should be placed in the balance box. When the moisture absorption agent absorbs the color change, it should be replaced immediately by high-temperature baking to ensure the moisture absorption performance.

5. Volatile, corrosive, strong acid and strong alkali substances should be weighed in a weighing bottle with a lid to prevent corrosion balance.

6. To use the electronic precision balance correctly, familiarize yourself with several states of the balance:

The upper right corner of the display shows O: indicates that the monitor is off;

The lower left corner of the display shows O: indicates that the instrument is in standby mode and can be weighed;

A diamond symbol appears in the upper left corner of the display: Indicates that the instrument's microprocessor is performing a function and does not accept other tasks at this time.

7. The electronic precision balance has been strictly calibrated during installation, so it is not possible to move the scale easily, otherwise the calibration work needs to be performed again.

8. Do not use weighing paper to directly weigh! After weighing each time, please clean the balance to avoid affecting the balance and affecting the weighing accuracy and affecting the work of others.

Second, the use of electronic precision balance 1. Check and adjust the balance to the horizontal position.

2. Leveling: Before the electronic precision balance is turned on, it should be observed whether the blisters in the level gauge at the back of the balance are located in the center of the circle. Otherwise, the balance is adjusted by the balance anchor bolts, and the left rotation is raised and the right rotation is lowered.

3. Check in advance whether the power supply voltage matches (regulate the voltage regulator if necessary) and preheat the power to the required time as required by the instrument. Preheating: When the balance is turned on for the first time or after a long time power off, it takes at least 30 minutes to warm up. Therefore, laboratory electronic balances do not often cut off the power supply under normal conditions. After switching on the balance switch after enough warm-up time, the electronic precision balance automatically adjusts the sensitivity and zero point. After the stability flag is displayed, it can be officially weighed.

4. When weighing, put a clean weighing bottle or weighing paper on the weighing pan, close the side door, press the peeling key lightly, the balance will automatically calibrate the zero point, and then gradually add the material to be weighed until the required weight. Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the monitor and wait for the instrument to self-test. When the display shows zero, the self-test process ends and the balance can be weighed;

Place the weighing paper and press the Tare key on both sides of the display to peel it. When the display shows zero, add the weighing reagent to be weighed on the weighing paper.

After weighing, press the ON/OFF button to turn off the monitor.

5. The weight of the substance being weighed is the actual value displayed on the display screen when the “→” sign appears in the lower left corner of the display.

6. At the end of the weighing, the weighing bottle (paper) shall be promptly removed, the side door shall be closed, the power shall be cut off, and the use registration shall be made.
