Analysts said that wind power equipment manufacturers are facing increasing competition and lower gross margins recently, and the recently concluded offshore wind power concession tender has also attracted low-priced on-grid tariffs, which has also enabled wind power equipment manufacturers to accelerate the pace of exploring overseas businesses.

Total machine prices drop by 30% a year

Sun Lixiang said that China currently has more than 80 wind power machine manufacturers, including many companies with unsatisfactory quality, but in any case, the overall number has reached several times the number of fan equipment manufacturers in other countries around the world.

It is understood that due to technological advances, declining raw material costs, and intense competition, the market price of China's onshore wind power generators has continued to decline, and has now fallen from the previous price of more than 5,000 yuan/kilogram to less than 4,000 yuan/kw. Analysts said that this year, China will add 17 million kilowatts of wind power installed capacity, including the top three equipment suppliers will exceed 10 million kilowatts, showing that the integration and reshuffle of domestic fan equipment manufacturers is imminent.

It is understood that Guodian United Power is the first domestic company to produce wind turbine equipment with low voltage ride-through capability, which is also in line with the grid's technical requirements for wind power grid integration. Although there is a certain leading edge in technology, Guodian United Power said that the company must go overseas in the future. The reason is that there is still a big gap in the core technology of wind turbine manufacturing in China. The company hopes to have further development with overseas wind power giants. Cooperation. Offshore wind power is a major competition

Recently, the on-grid tariffs generated during the bidding for offshore wind power concessions held in China were significantly lower than expected, and were even close to the onshore wind power benchmark price, which made domestic wind power equipment manufacturers feel cool.

In response, Shi Pengfei, chairman of the China Wind Energy Association, said that the bidding price of offshore wind power could not reflect the real construction cost of offshore wind power. The reason is that in order to win the bid at a low price, the developer has put the budget estimates and risk factors to a minimum in the plan. Despite this, global offshore wind power development continues to be explored, and authoritative sources from the National Energy Administration have revealed that similar offshore wind power concession bidding projects will continue to be held in the future to support the development of offshore wind power for a long time. Many wind power equipment manufacturers have also done their homework in large-capacity fan production and technology research and development in offshore wind power.

According to statistics, in 2009, the new capacity of offshore wind power in the world was 690,000 kilowatts, of which China added 63 megawatts, accounting for 9% of the newly added capacity.
