Mann completed a turbocharger modification in five weeks

Mann Diesel & Turbo has completed the modification of a turbocharger in five weeks, from the first consultation to the completion of the turbocharger commissioning, with a modification time of only ten days.

The modification was carried out by the Faroese trawler “Sjurdaberg”, which has been successfully operated in the North Sea region for more than 30 years. The ship is equipped with a 1984 MAN 9L28/32A Alpha engine and NA34/K. Turbocharger.
It is reported that the modification work was carried out jointly by Mann Company and its turbocharger modification department in Augsburg, Germany, in Friedrichshafen, Denmark.
Gottfried Eberle, head of Mann's turbocharger conversion business, said, "During the conversion, we replaced the original axial MAN NA34/K turbocharger with a modern radial MAN TCR20 turbocharger, size Smaller and more efficient,
