Urea low-level thermal energy utilization significant effect

The energy-saving effect of the urea low-level thermal energy comprehensive utilization project of Yankuang Lunan Fertilizer Plant has been significant since it was put into operation in March this year. The reuse of low heat energy can further reduce the energy consumption of synthetic ammonia products. However, due to technical reasons, the use of low thermal energy has always been the bottleneck of energy utilization in the ammonia industry. The Yannan Lunan Fertilizer Plant has abundant low-temperature thermal energy in its production system, including high-temperature steam condensate and low-pressure steam. Especially in the urea production process, steam condensates with a temperature of 133 degrees Celsius and pressures of 0.2 megapascals due to the consumption of large amounts of medium- and low-pressure steam all belong to low-level thermal energy.
The conversion of steam condensate from open recovery to closed recovery is an important way to increase the utilization of thermal energy in the condensate. Closed recovery makes all the condensate return steam and the steam leaked from the steam trap of the thermal equipment to be recycled. This saves softened water resources, improves thermal energy utilization, and greatly reduces production and operating costs. In addition, the closed system avoids re-contamination of the condensate and the re-dissolution of oxygen in the air, enabling clean production, reducing internal and external corrosion of the piping system, and extending the service life of the equipment.
During the recycling process, the company also replaced the fresh water in the current heat exchanger with the low-temperature circulating water produced by the lithium bromide unit. About 240 to 300 cubic meters of fresh water per hour passes through the heat exchanger to cool the process material in the urea production system. The low-temperature circulating water produced by the lithium bromide unit is about 300-420 cubic meters per hour, and the temperature is about 15 degrees Centigrade, which is lower than the fresh water temperature (around 17 degrees Centigrade). The use of low-temperature circulating water not only improves the process operating conditions, but also greatly saves Fresh water usage.
